Cain named Miss Universe judge

NEW YORK, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Dean Cain, Colin Cowie and Gerry DeVeaux have agreed to serve as judges of the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant in the Bahamas, organizers said.

Also slated to help decide the winner of Sunday's beauty contest at Atlantis, Paradise Island, are Farouk, Heather Kerzner, Richard Lefrak, George Maloof Jr., Valeria Mazza, Matthew Rolston, Andre Leon Talley, Tamara Tunie and Keisha Whitaker.

The list of celebrity judges was announced Monday by NBC, Donald J. Trump and Paula M. Shugart, president of the Miss Universe Organization.

Flo Rida, Heidi Montag, David Guetta and Kelly Rowland are scheduled to perform during the live telecast, which is to air on NBC and Telemundo.

"Access Hollywood" co-host Billy Bush, along with "Celebrity Apprentice" star Claudia Jordan, will preside over the event.
