LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Jerry Seinfeld is to be the first guest on the premiere of Jay Leno's new prime-time show, NBC announced.

During his Sept. 14 appearance on "The Jay Leno Show," Seinfeld is expected to chat with Leno, then do a stand-up routine.

Seinfeld is also expected to promote his Dec. 26-27 stand-up shows at Ceasars Palace, his NBC show, "The Marriage Ref," and the coming season of Larry David's HBO comedy, "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Seinfeld will join previously announced musical guests Jay Z, Kanye West and Rihanna on the first episode of Leno's new show.
