NEW YORK, July 31 (UPI) -- Amy Poehler has signed up to guest star on the first two editions of the new series "Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Thursday," NBC said.
The former longtime "Saturday Night Live" cast member left the sketch-comedy series last season to headline the new sit-com "Parks and Recreation."
NBC said she will appear on "Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Thursday" for its premiere Sept. 17 and its second installment Sept. 24.
Poehler is to reunite with "Saturday Night Live" star Seth Meyers behind the anchor desk they shared on "SNL," the network noted.
