NEW YORK, July 31 (UPI) -- MTV says it will celebrate its 28th birthday by airing three new tribute shows Saturday about the late U.S. pop icon Michael Jackson.

"Viewers will see a mix of interviews, music videos and more about the artist throughout the day," the network said in a news release.

At noon, MTV will air the world premiere of "Michael Jackson's Human Nature" featuring "candid stories from the pop icon's friends and colleagues about Michael Jackson the human being, rather than the entertainer," the network said.

MTV said it plans to broadcast 90 minutes of some of Jackson's most popular videos, as well as "Michael Jackson's Influence on Music," an hour-long special featuring a collection of the top videos from the many artists who have been influenced by the King of Pop.

Also slated to run Saturday is an encore presentation of "America's Best Dance Crew -- Michael Jackson's Thriller."

Jackson died June 25 at the age of 50. The cause of his death is under investigation.
