LOS ANGELES, July 22 (UPI) -- Eddie Cibrian's wife Brandi Glanville confirms she has left him amid reports the U.S. actor is having an affair with married singer-actress LeAnn Rimes.

Cibrian and Rimes recently co-starred in the Lifetime television movie "Northern Lights."

"Eddie and I have decided to take some time apart," Glanville told Usmagazine.com. "I want to do what is best for our children. Eddie and LeAnn deserve each other."

Cibrian has two young children, ages 6 and 2, with Glanville. Rimes has been married for seven years to Dean Sheremet.

E! News quoted Rimes as denying she is having an affair with Cibrian.

Rimes reportedly has not responded to Glanville's remarks regarding her alleged involvement in Cibrian and Glanville's breakup.
