1977 YANKEES HONORED IN ESPN MINI SERIES: "THE BRONX IS BURNING"

LOS ANGELES, July 21 (UPI) -- Andie MacDowell, Daniel Sunjata, Diahann Carroll and Annabeth Gish will star in the small-screen adaptations of two Patricia Cornwell novels.

Lifetime said the stars will appear in its TV movie versions of Cornwell's best-sellers "At Risk" and "The Front," set to air on the network next year.

These mark the first screen adaptations of Cornwell's work.

Each movie follows Massachusetts state investigator Win Garano (played by Sunjata), and his ambitious supervisor, District Attorney Monique Lamont (played by MacDowell,) as they investigate cases, Lifetime said.

Carroll stars as Garano's grandmother, Nana; Gish plays Garano's co-worker, Sykes; and Ashley Williams is Stump, a detective who becomes Garano's love interest.
