LOS ANGELES, July 17 (UPI) -- Ed Helms, a supporting player in the TV series "The Office," has signed on to star in the big-screen, road-trip comedy "Cedar Rapids."
The Hollywood Reporter said Miguel Arteta is directing the movie, while Alexander Payne, Jim Taylor and Jim Burke are on board to produce it through their Ad Hominem Enterprises production company.
Helms, who also starred in the recent blockbuster "The Hangover," will play a small-town Wisconsin man left reeling by the excitement of going to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for an insurance conference, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
Payne and Taylor previously collaborated on the celebrated wine country comedy "Sideways."
