SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 15 (UPI) -- Actor and model Antonio Sabato Jr.'s search for romance is the focus of the new U.S. reality television series "My Antonio," VH1 said Wednesday.

"Thirteen beautiful women travel to an exotic paradise in Hawaii, hoping to make a love connection with the 'General Hospital' star, Calvin Klein underwear model and hunk extraordinaire," the network said in a release. "Who will win the heart of one of the most desired men on the planet? Find out on 'My Antonio.'"

Described as a "real-life soap opera," the 10-episode show will also feature the arrivals of Sabato's ex-wife, who is determined to win the actor back "at any cost," as well as his mother, who helps him make one of the biggest decisions of his life, VH1 said.

The show is slated to premiere Aug. 16.

"I've been with some of the most amazing women in the world," Sabato said in a statement. "And at the age of 36, I'm finally ready to settle down. I really hope to meet that special someone. For me, this is not a game. This is real. This is my life."
