Aniston films movie at N.Y. Daily News

NEW YORK, July 12 (UPI) -- The New York Daily News says its headquarters was used as a filming location for Jennifer Aniston's new movie, "The Bounty."

The newspaper said Sunday the former "Friends" star, along with a cast of extras and production workers, were at the Daily News headquarters Saturday to film scenes from the upcoming journalism action-comedy.

Aniston plays a New York reporter who is attempting to investigate a story as her former bail bondsman husband, played by Gerard Butler, attempts to track her down over a missed court appearance. No due date for the Andy Tennant-directed film was reported.

Actress Michelle DiBenedetti said filming in the Daily News headquarters represented a pleasant departure from tradition movie sets.

"It's exciting, seeing everything on the wall. Normally it's a contrived set," she told the Daily News.

Source: Future of Neverland undecided

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., July 12 (UPI) -- A source at the company that owns Neverland Ranch says the future of the former California home of the late U.S. singer Michael Jackson is up in the air.

The unidentified source said Colony Capital LLC has yet to make an official decision about the 2,500-acre estate in Santa Barbara County, People.com reported Thursday.

"We are still doing renovations and rehabilitation to the property and I think it has a ways to go," the source said. "As far as I know, absolutely no decisions have been made about the property and there is no urgency to make any decisions."

The company shelled out $23.5 million for Neverland when it bought the property out of foreclosure in 2008.

The source told People magazine company officials were focusing their efforts on turning the former Jackson residence into a money-making venture.

"Even when Michael was alive, the primary goal was to figure out a way in which the property's value could be maximized by building his legacy," the source said.

'Desperate' adds two actors to cast

LOS ANGELES, July 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. TV series "Desperate Housewives" will reportedly have two new cast members next season, Jeffrey Nordling and Beau Mirchoff.

The Hollywood Reporter said Friday that Nordling will play the husband of fellow new "Desperate" cast addition, actress Drea DeMatteo, while Mirchoff will take on the role of the couple's son.

DeMatteo, who will play the character Angie Vitale on the ABC drama, was previously added as a regular cast member for the show's upcoming sixth season along with Maiara Walsh and Andrea Bowen.

The Reporter said Nordling's TV resume includes a recent appearance on the TV series "24" and a role on the defunct FX drama "Dirt."

Mirchoff has appeared in the movies "The Grudge 3," "Scary Movie 4" and "In the Land of Women."
