NEW YORK, July 10 (UPI) -- Nickelodeon says it is not in discussions to buy the Six Flags amusement park in New Orleans, contrary to reports claiming it is.

"Nickelodeon has had speculative conversations with many cities, including the city of New Orleans, and companies like Southern Star Amusements, regarding licensing arrangements," the company said in a statement Thursday.

"No deals have been made or signed, and the nature of our discussions is confidential," Nickelodeon added.
