LOS ANGELES, July 10 (UPI) -- An estimated 3.5 million people watched the premiere of the new U.S. television series "Warehouse 13," Syfy announced.
The network formerly known as SCI FI said the show's debut was the No. 1 cable program in Tuesday prime time, beating out new episodes of "Deadliest Catch," "Hawthorne," "Saving Grace" and "Rescue Me" in the ratings game.
More than 150,000 people also watched the first installment of "Warehouse 13" on the show's Web site July 7.
The series follows two Secret Service agents who find themselves abruptly transferred to a massive, top-secret South Dakota storage facility, which houses "every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government," Syfy said in a news release.
The show stars Saul Rubinek, Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly.
