HARRISBURG, Pa., July 9 (UPI) -- James Brooks Thursday began shooting his latest film in Philadelphia and its suburbs, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development said.

The romantic comedy, which remains untitled and stars Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson and Jack Nicholson, is expected to give an immediate $60 million boost to the southeast Pennsylvania economy, providing 250 full- and 1,200 part-time jobs.

The shoot is expected to last about two months.

"This movie is one more testament to the worthiness of Pennsylvania's film tax credit and the movie production industry it has helped to create here," Department of Community and Economic Development Acting Secretary George Cornelius said in a statement. "James Brooks has directed many outstanding films, like 'Terms of Endearment' and 'As Good as it Gets,' and we hope Pennsylvania will help to catapult him to more honors with this movie."

Pennsylvania's $75 million film tax credit program provides a 25-cent credit for every dollar of qualified expenditure. To receive the film tax credit, at least 60 percent of a production's budget must be spent in Pennsylvania, the department said in a news release.
