LONDON, July 5 (UPI) -- A publicist for British actor Rupert Grint says the "Harry Potter" movies star is recovering from the swine flu.

The unidentified publicist said Grint, who plays the Potter's good friend Ron Weasley, was forced to leave the set of his newest movie because of the H1N1 influenza virus, The Sunday Telegraph reported.

"It has just been confirmed that Rupert Grint has taken a few days out of filming due to a mild bout of swine flu," his publicist said of the 20-year-old actor.

"Other scenes were shot in his absence which did not require his involvement and thus filming was not disrupted."

The publicist said Grint has been deemed non-contagious by his doctor and is prepared to attend the upcoming premieres for "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince."

The Telegraph said "Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2" are being filmed back-to-back as a conclusion to the popular big-screen franchise.
