LOS ANGELES, July 5 (UPI) -- A friend of Michael Jackson's family says the late U.S. pop singer's coffin may be encased in concrete to prevent fans from digging up his grave.

The Sunday Telegraph reported the burial as described by the unidentified source would take place immediately after Jackson's funeral. Details of the funeral have remained secret, but a memorial for Jackson is scheduled to take place Tuesday in Los Angeles.

One of Jackson's brothers, Jermaine, said his family intends to bury the late singer at Jackson's Neverland ranch despite the fact California state laws forbid burying individuals outside a cemetery.

"The people who make the laws can change the laws," Jermaine Jackson said of his family's wishes.

The British newspaper said Jackson, who died June 25 at the age of 50, will likely be temporarily buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
