NEW YORK, July 3 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Wentworth Miller will be in the season premiere of "Law & Order: SVU," TV Guide Magazine reports.

The magazine said Thursday it had confirmed the 37-year-old actor, known for portraying Michael Scofield on "Prison Break," will play New York Police Department Officer Nate Kendal in the police drama's upcoming season 11 premiere.

Miller's cop character will cross paths with "SVU" lead characters Detective Elliot Stabler and Detective Olivia Benson after he saves a rape victim.

Miller's guest star appearance on the NBC drama will only be for the Sept. 24 premiere episode, TV Guide Magazine reported.
