NEW YORK, June 30 (UPI) -- Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have released the first public photo of their new twin daughters, The New York Post reported Tuesday.
The newspaper said the photo of the twins -- Marion and Tabitha -- was snapped in Manhattan one week after a surrogate mother gave birth to the girls in Ohio. The picture reportedly shows the couple's 6-year-old son, James Wilkie, tenderly peering over his mother's shoulder as Marion sleeps.
An unnamed representative for Parker and Broderick told the Post, "The entire family is over the moon" at the girls' birth.
Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, chose 26-year-old divorced mother Michelle Ross of Martins Ferry, Ohio, as their surrogate after the couple were unable to conceive naturally. The newspaper said the publicity frenzy surrounding the births resulted in Ross' phone and computer being hacked into by snoopers.
