NEW YORK, June 29 (UPI) -- Ana Ortiz, a cast member of the U.S. television show "Ugly Betty," gave birth to her first child during the weekend, People Magazine reported Monday.

Ortiz, 38, and her husband, musician Noah Lebenzon, welcomed a daughter, Paloma Louise Lebenzon, Saturday in New York, the magazine said.

"She is elated and completely glowing," said Ortiz's representative. "She is surrounded by her friends and family and so happy to be a mom. She is just really enjoying the moment. The baby is absolutely beautiful."

Before the birth, Ortiz told People she was "anxiously awaiting" her daughter's arrival, saying, "My husband's phone number is on speed dial, my deep yoga breaths have been practiced and my bags are all packed except for the toothbrushes, so I'm all set. I'm ready to have the baby!"

"She will be an amazing mom," fellow "Ugly Betty" cast member Mark Indelicato, who plays Ortiz's TV son, told the magazine. "Ana has the biggest heart and she's so loving. She's also laid back and chill but at the same time she's forceful and knows how to discipline someone if she has to be."
