Farrah Fawcett dies at age 62

LOS ANGELES, June 25 (UPI) -- TV Land said Thursday it will honor the memory of Hollywood actress Farrah Fawcett by airing the first episodes of her 2005 TV Land series, "Chasing Farrah."

Fawcett died Thursday after a long battle with cancer. She was 62.

"Chasing Farrah" offers a behind-the-scenes look at the actress and her travels "both in and out of the spotlight," TV Land said.

The first two installments of the series are to be re-aired Saturday night on the network.

"Farrah Fawcett was much more than a Hollywood icon, but a friend and colleague," Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land, said in a statement. "We are honored to have known her and worked with her and will remember her fondly. Our hearts go out to Farrah's entire family."

The former model, who started her acting career on shows like "I Dream of Jeannie," "The Flying Nun" and "The Partridge Family," was best known for her work on the TV series "Charlie's Angels."

She was nominated three times for an Emmy Award -- one for guest actress in a drama series on "The Guardian (2003) and twice for lead actress in a miniseries or special for "Small Sacrifices" (1990) and "The Burning Bed" (1985).
