TLC: Jon's gal pal not joining show

NEW YORK, June 24 (UPI) -- TLC is denying a newspaper report claiming the reputed new girlfriend of Jon Gosselin will be joining the U.S. reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8."

The show follows the lives of Jon and Kate Gosselin and their twins and sextuplets.

The couple announced this week they are planning to divorce and TLC said it would stop taping the series until August to give the family time to adjust to the new situation.

The New York Daily News said 23-year-old school teacher Deanna Hummel -- to whom the married Jon Gosselin has been romantically linked -- will be filmed when the show resumes because she is part of Jon's life.

However, a network representative told TV's "Entertainment Tonight," "There are no plans to use her."
