LOS ANGELES, June 19 (UPI) -- Hollywood's Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures Friday confirmed it hired Mike Mitchell to direct its live-action adventure-fantasy "Once Upon a Time."
Mitchell previously helmed the upcoming animated film "Shrek Forever After."
"'Once Upon a Time' Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty married their handsome princes -- the Charming brothers -- and planned to live happily ever after. But when the Charming brothers go missing, the sisters-in-law must set out to save their husbands and the fairy tale kingdom," MGM said about the movie in a release.
The studio did not say when production on the film is slated to begin or who might star in it.
