Report: Jon and Kate to announce divorce

NEW YORK, June 18 (UPI) -- An ad for "Jon & Kate Plus 8" says Jon and Kate Gosselin are set to make an announcement on next week's hourlong installment of their U.S. reality show.

The parents of twins and sextuplets reportedly spent their recent 10th wedding anniversary apart and have been dogged for weeks by speculation they are headed for divorce, as they have rarely appeared together on-screen this season.

"Recently we've made some life-changing decisions," Usmagazine.com quoted Kate as saying in a voice-over for the 30-second spot promoting Monday's episode of the TLC series. "Decisions that will affect every member of our family ... ones that we hope will bring each of us some peace."

RadarOnline.com Thursday cited an unnamed source as saying the couple plan to announce Monday they are divorcing.

The insider told the entertainment news Web site Kate has already met with a divorce lawyer.

Jon is expected to file divorce papers next week, RadarOnline.com said.
