LONDON, June 11 (UPI) -- British rocker Pete Doherty was arrested on drug and motor vehicle charges early Thursday, police in Gloucestershire told the BBC.
Doherty, 30, was pulled over by police after a Babyshambles concert at Guildhall in Gloucester Wednesday night.
The recording artist, who has battled an addiction to drugs in recent years and had numerous brushes with the law, was charged early Thursday with dangerous driving, drunken driving, possession of a Class A drug and driving without a license or insurance, the British broadcaster said.
Thursday night's Babyshambles gig in Derby was postponed.
Doherty, a former beau of supermodel Kate Moss, was detained last week by Swiss police in Geneva after he allegedly was caught using drugs on a British Airways flight.
He reportedly was fined and released from police custody.
