LOS ANGELES, June 9 (UPI) -- The U.S. cable television network TBS is in talks with Twentieth Century Fox about picking up the recently canceled NBC comedy series "My Name is Earl."

Variety.com reported TBS, which already airs "Earl" reruns, may order another 13-episode season of the show if negotiations with Fox go well.

The show, starring Jason Lee as a ne'er-do-well trying to make amends after he embraces the theory of karma, ran for four seasons on NBC.

Representatives for Fox and TBS declined to comment on the story, Variety.com said.
