Armstrong's girlfriend gives birth to son

NEW YORK, June 5 (UPI) -- Anna Hansen, the girlfriend of U.S. champion cyclist Lance Armstrong, has given birth to a son in Colorado.

"Wassup, world? My name is Max Armstrong and I just arrived. My mommy is healthy and so am I," Usmagazine.com quoted Armstrong as saying on his Twitter page.

The athlete added that his newborn son weighed in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and measured 20 inches long. The exact time and date of Max's birth were not disclosed.

The multiple Tour de France winner, who is also a cancer survivor, has three older children from a previous marriage as well.

Hansen and Armstrong have been together for about a year.
