LOS ANGELES, June 4 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Robert Knepper, best known for his portrayal of bad-guy T-Bag on "Prison Break," has signed up for a role on the science-fiction series "Heroes."

Knepper's film credits include "Transporter 3" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still."

The Hollywood Reporter said the actor will play a charismatic, but evil lead in at least six episodes of the fourth season of "Heroes."

Production on the latest run of episodes is slated to begin shortly, the entertainment industry trade newspaper noted.
