Jolie tops Forbes's powerful celeb list

NEW YORK, June 4 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Angelina Jolie ranked No. 1 on Forbes magazine's annual Celebrity 100 list, based on her press coverage and $27 million earnings in 2008.

Brad Pitt's girlfriend bumped media titan Oprah Winfrey, who earned $275 million last year, to the list's No. 2 spot. Winfrey led the list the previous two years.

Coming in at No. 3 on this year's roster of powerful celebrities is pop star Madonna, followed by recording artist Beyonce Knowles at No. 4 and professional golfer Tiger Woods at No. 5.

Jolie's boyfriend, actor Brad Pitt, ranked No. 9, while his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Aniston, came in No. 8.

Rounding out the top tier are rock 'n' roll icon Bruce Springsteen at No. 6, film director Steven Spielberg at No. 7 and NBA star Kobe Bryant at No. 10.
