PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla., May 29 (UPI) -- Hip-hop artist Tone Loc collapsed and lost consciousness while performing a concert in Florida Friday morning, TMZ reported.
The 43-year-old rapper was heard complaining about the heat and humidity in Pensacola Beach moments before he crumpled on stage, slashing open his elbow as he fell, the entertainment news Web site said.
The Pensacola News Journal reported the recording artist was taken to a hospital where he was treated and then released.
Tone Loc is best known for his songs "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina."
