NEW YORK, May 24 (UPI) -- Several people say in online postings that U.S. actress Farrah Fawcett should be applauded for her bravery in her battle with anal cancer.
A Pennsylvania resident identified only by the Topix Web site name "JAZZLVR1430" detailed personal struggles with leukemia and how Fawcett, 62, should remain steadfast in her fight against her potentially deadly disease, Newsday reported Saturday.
"As a leukemia survivor... my miracle came in at the 11th hour, so all I have to say is, don't ever give up -- ever," JAZZLVR1430 said online.
Meanwhile, Barbara Fleming of Wilmington, N.C., praised the "Charlie's Angels" actress for detailing her fight with anal cancer in her recent NBC documentary "Farrah's Story."
"Farrah, your documentary was so profound and courageous. I have been struggling with cancer for 2 1/2 years and felt so informed after watching your journey. … I think you reached many people," Fleming wrote on the social networking Web site, Facebook.
"Her show was awesome, to show what it was like to have it and be a caretaker," Las Vegas resident Joy Marie Kitinos offered in a similar Facebook posting.
