Samantha Harris headed to Broadway

NEW YORK, May 21 (UPI) -- Television personality Samantha Harris is to make her Broadway stage debut as Roxie Hart in "Chicago," representatives for the musical announced.

Harris is best known for her work on "Extra," "The Insider" and "Dancing with the Stars." She also appeared in the 23-city North American tour of the musical comedy show "Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python" and starred on stage in the original Los Angeles production of the award-winning "Reefer Madness: The New 'Hit' Musical."

She is slated to perform in the long-running musical "Chicago" in New York from July 7 through Aug. 16.

Her six-week limited engagement at the Ambassador Theatre is expected to be followed by a 1-week engagement with the national touring company in Greenville, S.C., from Aug. 18-23.
