NEW YORK, May 19 (UPI) -- Former child actor Mason Reese, who was best known for his Underwood Deviled Ham commercials in the 1970s, says he is opening a bar in New York.
The New York Post said Reese, 44, is starting up the Destination Bar and Grille in Manhattan's East Village.
"I've always enjoyed nightlife, I've always found it to be really magical," he told the Post.
Reese said he also co-owns a restaurant called Paladar on Manhattan's Lower East Side.
As for his show business career, Reese was a frequent guest on "The Howard Stern Show" in the 1990s and he also tried to team up with his fellow former child star Gary Coleman in the early 2000s for a private detective TV series.
"Unfortunately, we just couldn't get it done," Reese told the Post of his unrealized collaboration with Coleman.
