GM vice chairman to appear on 'Letterman'

NEW YORK, May 18 (UPI) -- Bob Lutz, vice chairman of the U.S. automaker General Motors, has agreed to make his first appearance on "Late Show with David Letterman," CBS announced Monday.

Lutz is slated to be a guest on Wednesday night's episode of the late-night talk show.

"Among many other topics, Lutz and Letterman will discuss the current state of the U.S. auto industry and the steps GM is taking to devise greener technologies for new automobiles, including development of the Chevrolet Volt, the company's new electric motor vehicle set to start production on June 1," CBS said in a news release.
