ABC axes Applegate comedy 'Who?'

LOS ANGELES, May 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. television network ABC has decided not to renew its Christina Applegate comedy series "Samantha Who?" for a third season, an insider told Variety.

The single-camera sit-com about a woman suffering from amnesia was expected to return next season; however, it was canceled due to sagging ratings and budget concerns, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

ABC reportedly ordered 10 new series for next year.
