LONDON, May 16 (UPI) -- U.S. pop star Michael Jackson has been diagnosed with skin cancer, but is expected to make a full recovery, a source told The Sun newspaper:
The Sun's source said the "Beat It" singer has been assured by doctors the skin cancer spots found on his neck and precancerous cells on his face are treatable.
The unidentified source added Jackson is adamant the cancer and related treatment will not prevent him from taking part in his 50 scheduled performances at London's O2 Arena as part of his music industry comeback.
"Michael is really looking forward to his concerts and is determined to wow his fans at each and every gig," the source said of this summer's performances.
"He said he's insisted that any treatment must fit around the concerts, and the show will go on."
The Daily Telegraph said Jackson was recently seen visiting a dermatologist in Beverly Hills, Calif., and Los Angeles' Cedar-Sinai hospital.
