'All My Children' up for 19 Daytime Emmys

LOS ANGELES, May 14 (UPI) -- The U.S. soap opera "All My Children" was nominated Thursday for 19 Daytime Emmy Awards, including one for outstanding daytime drama.

Also nominated for the top drama series prize are "Days of Our Lives" and "The Bold and the Beautiful," Variety.com said.

Shortlisted for the outstanding daytime entertainment talk show honor are "Live with Regis and Kelly," "Rachael Ray" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

The informative talk shows that earned Daytime Emmy nods are "Dr. Phil," "The Doctors" and "The Tyra Banks Show."

The nominees for outstanding daytime talk show hosts are Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, Ray, DeGeneres and "The View" panelists Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters.

PBS was the network with the most nods Thursday -- 56, while ABC followed close behind with 50, CBS earned 30 and NBC 20, Variety.com said.

Television actress Vanessa Williams is slated to serve as host for the Daytime Emmy Awards show to take place Aug. 30 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. It will be broadcast for the first time on The CW.
