ANNA NICOLE SMITH DIES

LOS ANGELES, May 13 (UPI) -- The late Anna Nicole Smith's companion Howard K. Stern and doctors Khristine Eroshevich and Sandeep Kapoor have pleaded innocent to drug charges in Los Angeles.

TMZ said the pleas were entered Wednesday.

Stern, Eroshevich and Kapoor were each charged with six felonies in connection with an investigation into Smith's 2007 death in the Bahamas from an accidental prescription drug overdose.

The defendants are accused of providing Smith with the various drugs that eventually killed her.

TMZ said the three also complied with a request from prosecutors for handwriting samples to help determine who signed what prescriptions.

People.com said Stern, Eroshevich and Kapoor are due back in court June 8.
