Spider-Man star Maguire welcomes new baby

LOS ANGELES, May 9 (UPI) -- There's a new Spider-Baby in U.S. movie actor Tobey Maguire's life, his agent says.

Actors' representative Kelly Bush told People Magazine that the 33-year old star of Marvel Comics' Spider-Man movie series and his wife, Jennifer Meyer, became parents of a new baby boy Friday.

"I can confirm the Maguires had a baby boy today, and the family is healthy and happy," Bush told People.

The magazine said Maguire and Meyer, 31, are also parents to daughter Ruby, age 2. It reported the couple met in 2003 and married in 2007.
