MONTECITO, Calif., May 9 (UPI) -- Staffers have been busy at Oprah Winfrey's Montecito, Calif., mansion, packing up her belongings in case a wildfire threatens the home, sources say.
The U.S. talk show queen and her staff were on high alert Saturday as a wildfire that has forced the evacuations of 30,000 residents in nearby Santa Barbara, Calif., was burning thousands of acres, and some of Winfrey's belongings were being bundled up for a quick move, unnamed sources told Us Weekly.
"The fires are nearby, but her house is not within the mandatory evacuation area," a representative for Winfrey's Harpo Productions confirmed to E! News, adding, "We're continuing to monitor."
Just last fall, wildfires also threatened the area, with Winfrey's home being among several celebrity domiciles threatened, including those of Michael Douglas, Rob Lowe, Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Costner, E! said.
