LONDON, May 7 (UPI) -- Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has announced on her Web site plans for her first North American concert tour.

Minogue, who is best known for her hits, "The Loco-Motion" and "Can't Get You Out of My Head," will start her brief tour Sept. 30 in Oakland, Calif., and end it at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom Oct. 11. In between, she will make stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto, the BBC said.

"I've wanted to tour in America and Canada for years," Minogue said on her Web site. "I know that fans have been waiting a long time for this and I'm thrilled that the opportunity has finally arrived."
