Noth inks deal for 'Sex' sequel

NEW YORK, April 29 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Chris Noth is to reprise his role of Mr. Big in "Sex and the City 2," the sequel to 2008's hit film, which was a follow-up to the iconic TV series.

Big is the love interest of Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie character in the "SATC" franchise.

Variety.com said Noth will received a seven-figure-paycheck to appear in the film writer-director Michael Patrick King will start shooting in early September.

It is slated to open in U.S. theaters May 28, 2010.
