Gibson takes date to see 'Wolverine'

LOS ANGELES, April 29 (UPI) -- Mel Gibson, who recently said he and his wife are divorcing, took his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva to a Los Angeles screening of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

Gibson's wife, Robyn, filed for divorce this month after 28 years of marriage. The couple have seven children together.

Grigorieva, 39, is a singer signed to Gibson's Icon Records label.

"Mel has been single for almost three years and it's nice to see him getting out and enjoying himself," his publicist told People exclusively.

The magazine's Web site said the 53-year-old actor-director held hands with Grigorieva as they walked the red carpet before watching the Hugh Jackman movie at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

"They came in quietly and as under the radar as they could and they were pretty low-key," an insider told People.com. "Mel seemed very comfortable."
