ORLANDO, Fla., April 25 (UPI) -- Gibson Guitar says it is offering a $1,000 reward for the safe return of a 10-foot guitar sculpture stolen from outside a restaurant in Orlando, Fla.

The guitar manufacturer said in a news release the sculpture taken from outside Graze Restaurant this week was to be part of the Orlando GuitarTown Gala scheduled for May 7, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Friday.

"The 10-foot-tall Gibson guitar sculpture is part of the arts project which benefits local charities,'' Gibson Guitar said. "A stolen guitar of this kind represents several thousands of dollars the charities potentially will now not receive unless the sculpture is returned on time."

The company said if those responsible for the recent theft returned the sculpture by the end of Saturday, no charges will be filed in relation to the crime.

The Sentinel said the company confirmed in its release it has filed a police report regarding the theft.
