AUSTIN, Texas, April 18 (UPI) -- Tennis star Andy Roddick and model Brooklyn Decker have married in Austin, Texas, a family friend says.

An unidentified family friend confirmed the 26-year-old athlete and his new swimsuit model wife married Friday at a twilight ceremony at Roddick's Austin home, People.com said.

"They are absolutely perfect for each other," the friend said. "I think they knew that from the moment they met that they were perfect for each other."

Roddick and Decker, 21, have been dating since 2007 after the tennis star had his agent locate Decker's contact information. Decker is best known for appearing in the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated magazine.

The couple announced its engagement in March 2008, leading up to Friday's wedding ceremony.

People.com said among those in attendance at the Austin event were former tennis stars Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi, along with singer Elton John, who sang for the newly married couple.
