LOS ANGELES, April 14 (UPI) -- "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" isn't being renewed for a third season, sources close to the U.S. sci-fi drama series told EW.com.

"It's done," an insider said. "Everyone has pretty much known for a couple of weeks."

"Consider it canceled," a second source told the entertainment magazine's Web site Tuesday.

However, one Fox representative insisted that a decision regarding the show's fate hasn't been made yet.

"We will be announcing our fall schedule on May 18," the network source said.

The series followed up the story begun in three big-screen "Terminator" adventures. The film franchise is to continue with this summer's "Terminator: Salvation," starring Christian Bale.
