$146M film studio to be built in Michigan

ALLEN PARK, Mich., April 14 (UPI) -- A $146 million film, TV and new media production studio is to be built in Michigan's Allen Park, it was announced Tuesday.

The 750,000-square-foot facility is expected to be built on 104 acres of land at Southfield Road and Enterprise Drive in Allen Park.

"At full capacity, productions at the project will employ up to 3,000 predominantly union workers," City of Allen Park officials said in a news release. "Up to 83 full-time managerial and operational positions will also be created."
