Justin Bieber booed at Billboard Music Awards
NEW YORK, April 12 (UPI) -- Attendees to an audition redo in New York for "America's Next Top Model" say the event went smoothly compared with the show's initial attempt.
"Top Model" hopeful Regina Villano said while last month's tryout for the CW show ended with a bomb scare and prospective contestants clashing, Saturday's audition remained orderly thanks to a significant police presence, the New York Daily News reported.
"This is amazing," Villano, 21, said at the Penn Plaza Pavilion on audition. "We know where to stand. We know we will be seen. There are lines and checkpoints and police around. I couldn't be happier."
Villano admitted fearing for her life during the March 14 stampede that was the last "Top Model" audition in New York.
"I was terrified," she said of the melee initiated by a nearby overheated car. "I didn't know if I would make it out alive."
Michelle Rivera, 19, was also among the 500 "Top Model" hopefuls in line Saturday for their chance to appear on the popular fashion series.
"It was a great experience," she told the Daily News. "I feel inspired. Everything went so smoothly."
