Lakshmi named Blossom Ball host

NEW YORK, April 10 (UPI) -- "Top Chef" star Padma Lakshmi and Dr. Tamer Seckin are to serve as co-hosts of a benefit for the Endometriosis Foundation of America, organizers said.

The Blossom Ball is slated to take place April 20 at the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan. It is to feature a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by dinner and dancing. Other celebrity guests are expected to attend, organizers said.

The Endometriosis Foundation of America describes itself as a non-profit organization focused on fighting the devastating effect of a disease that affects millions of women and adolescent girls.
