"Monsters vs. Aliens" premiere held in Los Angeles

PARIS, April 10 (UPI) -- The French translation of British actor Hugh Laurie's novel "The Gun Seller" was No. 1 on France's bestseller list last month, the BBC reported.

The spy spoof was renamed "Tout Est Sous Controle" in France.

It was released in England in 1996, years before the actor began starring in the U.S. medical drama series "House," which is a big hit in France, the BBC said.

Laurie is best known in the United Kingdom for his comic work with Stephen Fry in the TV shows "Jeeves and Wooster," and "Fry and Laurie." His film credits include "Sense and Sensibility," "Stuart Little" and "Monsters vs. Aliens."
