NEW YORK, April 6 (UPI) -- Film actor Zac Efron has agreed to serve as guest host of "Saturday Night Live" in New York for the first time, NBC announced.
Efron is slated to appear on Saturday's episode of the sketch comedy series, alongside musical guest Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Efron, who is best known for his work in the "High School Musical" movies, will star in "17 Again," a big-screen comedy set to open in U.S. theaters April 17 and will be seen in the film "Me and Orson Welles" later this year.
