LOS ANGELES, April 5 (UPI) -- Alex Da Silva from the U.S. TV series "So You Think You Can Dance" has been arrested on rape charges, Los Angeles police say.
Police allege Da Silva, a 41-year-old master salsa dance instructor, sexually assaulted four of his students during the last 6 years, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.
The alleged assaults all took place in Da Silva's homes in the San Fernando Valley area, police said.
"The victims allege that he lured them to his homes in North Hollywood and Van Nuys," police alleged in a statement. "He then used a ruse to get them into his bedroom where he raped them."
The Times said Da Silva, who is being held on $3.8 million bail, teaches at The Mayan Club and the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles.
