LOS ANGELES, March 31 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office says singer Rihanna is cooperating with its assault case against her boyfriend Chris Brown.

Rumors have been swirling that Rihanna, 21, has experienced a change of heart about helping prosecutors convict Brown, the 19-year-old recording artist who was arrested last month for allegedly beating her up during a heated argument in a car. The couple reportedly reconciled after a brief estrangement following Brown's arrest.

"We deal with her attorney who says she is a cooperating victim," D.A. representative Sandi Gibbons told Usmagazine.com.

Her attorney, Donald Etra, echoed the sentiment, stating, "She will do everything that the law requires her to do... nothing has changed."

Brown's arraignment is scheduled for April 6.
